Faced with the issue of how to conduct a National Cinnamon Show that more than a handful of Cinnamon breeders could attend, the CRBA board came up with the idea of ―Shows of Distinction to be tried between now and the 2010 ARBA Convention in place of a Cinnamon National show.
Between now and then, any rabbit show for which the Cinnamon breed is sanctioned with the CRBA will be declared a "Cinnamon Show of Distinction" if the following criteria are met:
For an open Show of Distinction:
1. Rabbits owned by at least three cinnamon exhibitors from at least three different barns (households/herds) must be exhibited.
2. At least 15 cinnamons must be shown.
When the sweepstakes secretary receives the results from a CRBA sanctioned show which qualifies as a "Cinnamon Show of Distinction," she will issue "Certificates of Distinction" to Cinnamon RBA member/exhibitors winning first places in any class where five or more animals are exhibited; best display; best of breed, and best opposite sex, reserve BIS, or BIS.
Results from an Open "Cinnamon Show of Distinction" will receive special recognition on the Cinnamon webpage.
For a youth Show of Distinction:
1. Rabbits owned by at least three cinnamon youth exhibitors must be exhibited.
2. At least 10 cinnamons must be shown.
